Dear Friends, I hope your Spring is going well. Yes, it has been cool, but think of those hot July August days ahead. Perfect days to quilt in front of the air conditioner. Since we don't offer classes in April and May, I've been quiet but very busy making new samples and plans for summer and fall. This summer we'll offer classes for children, classes for beginners, a crazy quilt class, double wedding ring, and several strip projects, plus beginning hand applique. Watch the website in late May for the class listings. Do you remember going to Grandma's and eating all those canned veggies and fresh made pastries and jellies? We are celebrating those days with our 5th annual Kansas Prairie Shop Hop on June 5-8. Our quilts will be made with "jelly rolls" (2 1/2" precut strips) using 1930s reproduction fabrics. So fill up a car and share the gas expenses and join the fun. Buses are also available. Check out the website www.KansasPrairieShopHop.com or call a shop near you. We are now carrying a complete line of DMC embroidery floss, white cotton tea towels, and Aunt Martha's transfers. Next week we are going to Portland, Oregon for Quilt Market. Watch my blog for news of all the fun things we find there. We're especially looking for new clubs, blocks-of-the-month, and class ideas. Susan says more thread colors --.
